Our beautiful school was founded in 1988 by Ms. Peggy Anderson, who brought the Montessori philosophy to our little island and established the first certified Montessori school in the Cayman Islands.
In 2016, alumna Briana Bergstrom Currie (Ms. Bri) took over from Ms. Peggy, continuing the legacy with a deep commitment to authentic Montessori education and the Island Montessori community.
Our program is highly recommended by both parents and educators on the island. A true testament to the school’s impact is the growing number of second-generation alumni now enrolled—children of our former students who are returning to give their own children the same nurturing and enriching start.

At Montessori School of Cayman, it is our mission to provide an authentic and extraordinary Montessori early years & kindergarten programme so that all of our students are given the best preschool experience and start to their education.
It is our goal to deliver a whole-hearted, holistic Montessori approach and offer a happy, safe and stimulating prepared environment where children are able to explore and thrive, therefore developing a love for learning. We believe in the development of the individual child and thoroughly understand that every child is unique and requires a variety of methods to support and nurture their social, emotional and academic journeys.
